Clark Glass named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Feb. 13-19, Fla./Tampa Baptist) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Feb. 13-19.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level. The announcement will be made each week on Wednesday.
Glass became only the second seventh-grader in the history of Florida wrestling to win a high school state wrestling title. Glass, competing for Tampa Baptist School, won the Class A 103-pound state title on Saturday, Feb. 17. Glass finished his first high school season with a 41-1 record.
Glass has been a four-time USA Wrestling National Champion and 15-time USA Wrestling All-American. He also has won three Ultimate Dominator belts and won the Ultimate Dominator award in 2005 as part of the USA Wrestling Ultimate Challenge Series.
