CSTV to air U.S. World Team Trials, beginning Tuesday, June 6

College Sports Television (CSTV) will broadcast coverage of the U.S. World Team Trials, starting on Tuesday, June 6 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The U.S. World Team Trials was held in Sioux City, Iowa, May 27-28. Champions from the tournament, which featured men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, qualified to represent the United States at the World Championships of Wrestling in Guangzhou, China, September 26-October 1.

The broadcast team for the show is veteran play-by-play announcer Jason Knapp and long-time coach and wrestling leader Al Bevilacqua as color commentator.

CSTV taped all of the action from the Sunday competition, which featured the following Championship Series:

66 kg/145.5 lbs. men’s freestyle
Bill Zadick, Colorado Springs, Colo. (Gator WC) vs. Jared Frayer, Cambridge, Mass. (Gator WC)

74 kg/163 lbs. men’s freestyle
Donny Pritzlaff, Northport, N.Y. (New York AC) vs. Tyrone Lewis, Stillwater, Okla. (Gator WC)

84 kg/185 lbs. men’s freestyle
Andy Hrovat, Ann Arbor, Mich. (New York AC) vs. Clint Wattenberg, Ithaca, N.Y. (New York AC)

120 kg/264.5 lbs. men’s freestyle
Tolly Thompson, Cedar Falls, Iowa (Sunkist Kids) vs. Steve Mocco, N. Bergen, N.J. (New York AC)

55 kg/121 lbs men’s Greco-Roman
Lindsey Durlacher, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC) vs. Sam Hazewinkel, Pensacola, Fla. (Gator WC)

60 kg/132 lbs. men’s Greco-Roman
Joe Warren, Colorado Springs, Colo. (New York AC) vs. Jeremiah Davis, El Cajon, Calif. (USOEC/Sunkist Kids)

84 kg/185 lbs. men’s Greco-Roman
Jacob Clark, Quantico, Va. (U.S. Marine Corps) vs. Aaron Sieracki, Colorado Springs, Colo. (U.S. Army)

The championship results from the competition on Saturday in Sioux City will also be mentioned in the show.
