Iowa Public Television kicks off season with Iowa at Iowa State on Dec. 9llege wrestling coverage kicks off with Iowa @ Iowa State; This Intra-state rivalry coverage begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 9
(Johnston, Iowa) – Iowa Public Television has announced the first meet of its 32nd season of college wrestling coverage. On Sunday, December 9, Iowa Public Television will be in Ames when the Iowa State Cyclones take on the visiting Iowa Hawkeyes.
During the meet, Jim Gibbons and Tim Johnson will provide commentary for viewers watching on statewide Iowa Public Television.
As part of this live coverage, Iowa Public Television will encourage viewers to call (800) 779-7000 to support the quality college wrestling coverage they’ve relied upon for more than 30 years. During breaks in the action, viewers will have the opportunity to pledge their support for Iowa Public Television’s unique tradition of college wrestling coverage. (Breaks will take place during breaks in the meet – the meet will be shown in its entirety live.) Fans at Hilton for the meet will also be encouraged to call from their seats to keep College Wrestling coverage strong.
