UPDATED: Schedule change for Pan American Championships on Saturday, March 1; Women’s finals move up to 4:30 p.m.LO. – There has been a schedule change for the 2008 Pan American Championships, which will be hosted at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. this weekend.
On Saturday, March 1, the finals for the women’s freestyle division have been moved up one hour earlier than in previously announced. The finals will start at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1.
There has been no change for the finals on Friday, Feb. 29 or Sunday, March 2. The finals those days will begin at 5:30 p.m. as scheduled.
All who will attend the Pan American Championships should note this schedule change for Saturday, March 1.
Some of the best wrestlers from North, Central and South America will compete. The Pan American Wrestling Championships is held every year, and features the three international styles of wrestling: Greco-Roman, men’s freestyle and women’s freestyle.
This year, the competition holds special significance, as a qualifying event for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
