World Champion Bill Zadick and World Silver Medalist Mike Zadick will be honored at the Iowa-Northwestern football game on Nov. 4 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.

The Zadick brothers, who combined for five All-American finishes in their Iowa Hawkeye careers, both made a big splash during the World Championships in freestyle wrestling last month in Guangzhou, China.

Bill Zadick (pictured), a 1996 NCAA champion for the Hawkeyes, became a World Gold Medalist when he captured the World freestyle title at 66 kg/145.5 pounds on Sept. 28 in Guangzhou, China. The 33-year-old Zadick placed seventh in his only other World Championships appearance in 2001.

Bill Zadick became the first U.S. freestyle wrestler to win a World title since 1999. He is a resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., and competes for the Gator Wrestling Club.

Mike Zadick, a three-time All-American at Iowa who currently is a Hawkeye assistant coach, made a strong showing in his first World meet. The 28-year-old Zadick won a World Silver Medal in freestyle at 60 kg/132 pounds on Sept. 27. He competes for the Hawkeye Wrestling Club.

The Zadicks will be recognized for their achievements during pregame festivities for the football game.

The Zadicks were the first set of brothers to represent the U.S. on a World or Olympic team since former Hawkeyes Tom and Terry Brands in 1995.
